Urban League of Broward County- New Day (Project EMBRACE)

Project EMBRACE (NewDay) offers tailored services for juvenile offenders, addressing their social, educational, and health needs. The aim is to steer them away from the delinquency system, ultimately minimizing the chances of recidivism. Recognizing delinquent behavior can be symptomatic of deeper issues, the program is equipped to conduct thorough assessments and implement timely interventions, either directly or through community referrals. This approach not only decreases the likelihood of re-offending but also promotes positive youth development. This program is centered on the restorative justice model where offenders, law enforcement, and victims meet face-to-face to discuss the events that transpired. It provides victims, offenders, law enforcement, caregivers, facilitators, and community members with understanding and closure.
