At the Cadenza Center, our dedicated roster of therapists, educational & behavioral consultants treat the developmental, emotional, cognitive, physical, & behavioral needs of both adults and children. Founded in 2000 by Michelle Hintz, Psy.D., a licensed psychologist and board-certified music therapist, the Cadenza Center provides general services including individual and family therapy, incorporating active treatment strategies such as sensory integration, DIR/Floortime, behavior therapy, creative arts therapies, & social pragmatics. 

Our staff include licensed mental health professionals, psychologists, behavior analysts, and creative arts therapists. Our diverse group of professionals consult and collaborate to provide the best quality care.  

Having begun her career as a music therapist over 30 years ago, our Founder and Director was inspired by the power of the arts to make meaningful positive changes in her clients. Dr. Hintz was passionate to fill a need in the community for more comprehensive treatment. 

The Company’s name comes from the word “cadenza,” which is the musical term for a solo musical performance that showcases the performer’s virtuosity and improvisational skills. The Cadenza Center builds on the use of this term as a metaphor to describe our approach to services as supporting individuals while promoting health and healing.
