Better Steps Life Skills Center

Better Steps Life Skills Center is a community-based agency dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities by providing essential supports and opportunities to live more independently and achieve their personal and vocational goals. Our core services include transportation, in-home and personal support, companion care, and respite care, ensuring individuals and their families receive the assistance needed for daily living and community participation.

As a certified Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) vendor, Better Steps also specializes in employment services tailored to youth and adults with diverse abilities. We provide pre-placement and work readiness training, resume building, interview preparation, job search assistance, and individualized employment support. Once employed, we continue offering ongoing support to promote job retention and natural workplace integration.

Beyond employment, our programs focus on independent living and life skills development, such as budgeting, daily routines, problem-solving, and community navigation. We also emphasize self-advocacy training, equipping individuals with the confidence and skills to express their needs, make informed decisions, and access resources effectively.
